What is a HIP?
Home Information Packs were introduced by the Government to help speed up property transactions and therefore reduce the potential of a house sale falling through. A HIP also contains valuable information on the property’s carbon footprint and on how to improve it. This is extremely important given our Planet’s current ecological state.

A Home Information Pack (HIP), also known as the 'seller’s pack', is a compilation of documents that you need when you’re going to sell your house. There are two parts to the Home Information Pack:
1. To Market the property, the "Skinny HIP" must be complete:
(Index, Property Information Questionnaire, Energy Performance Certificate, Sale Statement and the Land Registry Documents)
2. To complete the HIP:
("Skinny HIP" Documents must be complete, Local Authority Search, Drainage & Water Search, Leasehold Documentation (If required) and any other authorised documents)
